If you have been a victim of sexual assault, abuse, or violence at any age, and need support, help is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Sexual Assault Task Force has partnered with Avalon Healing Center to provide comprehensive support services to survivors like you.
Avalon Healing is the only organization in Southeast Michigan that offers free comprehensive medical services, traditional counseling, legal advocacy services, and alternative healing therapies from trauma-informed practitioners who are specially trained in sexual violence.

Avalon is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that offers compassionate and trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual assault.
It’s a safe, quiet, and confidential environment staffed by specially trained Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners. They conduct medical examinations and collect forensic evidence from assault victims.
The Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our services are free of charge and are available to people of ALL ages and gender identities. Medical-forensic exams can be done up to 120 hours post-assault. Counseling and advocacy services are available at any time to people who identify as a survivor of sexual assault, abuse, or incest — regardless of when or where it happened.
